Most likely, the headlight module moved forward a bit during the jarring and disconnected the electricals. Try pushing the headlight back into the wing. Just straight back with a gentle shove should do it.
thanks to both of you, I'm simply delighted as I went home and even in the pouring rain I had to try it out so I started my putting on the hazard lights and gave it a slight push and on it came then I cheked the rest of the lights and all is working now.
