Does anyone have a set of dead headlight assemblies for a 2005 touareg or just the clear lens that is part of the assembly? 2004-2007 use the same headlight assemblies.

We are getting creative to rewire our 2005 touareg with HID headlights after a "friend" took the old headlight set and the new halogen headlights and disappeared with them. It is almost impossible to find them in a salvage yard because they are selling them online for 100+ each even though they are untested (likely have burnt wiring because they all do) and it does not include shipping.

It does not matter if the headlight is a hid/xenon/halogen and nonrepairable since we really just want the lens. I need both the LH and RH.

Please let me know what you have and how much you want for them and if it includes the shipping. Thanks in advance.

Headlights are tuff to ship due to the size, not big enough to go through Grayhound not small enough for UPS.

But I'm slightly confused, you're looking for a dead pair yet you don't want to go to a salvage yard because they're not tested?

I get that are large to ship and might need to ship them sperate if i can find them and cant pick them up. I am willing to drive a few hours to get them.

I have been to the salvage yards locally and semi locally, but every time the headlights are already gone. I went to two salvage yards just today looking for headlights. Many of the salvage yards are removing and selling their touareg headlights online themselves and charging top dollar for used lights. I could get a new set of halogens cheaper than most are selling their used lights for instead of the usually $30-50 each normally at the salvage yards. I know its a long shot someone has a dead set they are not rewiring or fixing and would usually trash that i can purchase.

You need to take into account your time as well. Drive a few hours vs having them shipped? Shipping on Headlights is like 50-$80. It's not worth it from a sellers pov. I sell car parts. I have a set of Touareg headlights lol.
