HOLD HOLD HOLD on... Do they cover rust from the inside of the rear doors. This is the only area that I have noticed rust on my 2007...

So.... As posted in the previous messages. This seems to be a common problem for a ton of Gen 1 Touaregs. My rust was worse or just as bad as some of the cases above.

Took my rig to a local dealership and had them take pictures and sent me to the body shop.

VW came back this week and denied my claim. I will be taking this up with the VW national representatives with some fine worded letters. This pisses me off. I was just about to get a new Work Vehicle and sell this and if this is what I can expect for service going forward, I would rather even go DOMESTIC... ugghhhh...

Just called the dealership this morning. The manager and she was away. I followed up last week and she said that another T1 that came in had the SAME exact issue with the rust and that she had submitted a claim to VW Canada and was seeing if they approved the other claim. So essentially 2 in a few weeks. I pray that they pony up and fix this.

Nope! Still waiting. I'm calling again this week. There was another customer that brought her T1 in with the same problem and she hasn't returned to take more pictures. The service manager at the Calgary dealership is seeing if hers gets approved before going to bat for me.

Sorry. I just uploaded those off my phone. Mine are WAYYY worse then most of the other members who I have seen on the site and they didn't accept that...
