That is only for the buttons to do their job. You need to have the dealer program it to the cluster so it works with the alarm. No other way to do it with out going there.

How about if you only need to reprogram the lock / unlock buttons ?

I'm guessing that would also be a dealer job, but do they need to have the car at the dealer as well ?

My existing (and only) key won't unlock and doesn't work in the key barrel in the door either

I've called the local dealer who said they also need the car there as well (which is stuck in a second level car park so can't get towed out) as the key ~ is this true ??

Lock/unlock you can do yourself, but you need two functioning FOBS in order to do it. One goes in the ignition and the other in the lock on the outside of the door. Sounds like you can't get in yours at all which is a whole other problem. If you have a good FOB to get into the car then do a search for programing the buttons on the FOB then follow the directions.

I've personally found you only need one remote to programme the key's remote lock / unlock function

1) use manual method to unlock the car
2) put key in ignition ~ start the car
3) press and hold the unlock button on the remote (light on the remote will then flash 3 times in quick succession)
4) turn off car, remove key then test remote will lock / unlock the Treg
5) Use the $136AU dealer wants to charge to do the same to purchase 3 x cartons of Atomic pale ale
