Firmer rear suspension

We have a 2012 Touareg 7P with spring suspension - we do a lot of towing and the rear of the car is starting to sag a bit too much - we want to put in firmer springs to help level it out but am finding hard to get springs in Australia - anyone have suggestions. ?. We are located in Perth but am happy to order online and get fitted locally if need be
thanks

Haven't looked at this as I have air suspension but can you add air bags as a helper spring? Seems a bit of a waste to permanently stiffen up the rear end and spoil the ride when you aren't hitched up.

Unfortunately there are no aftermarket air-suspension options :-(
I can't disagree with you on this, I have no experience. I did drop into Mr G and air bag helper kits for Touareg did get hits from Australia. Maybe you are right, although it might be worthwhile confirming with some of the Australian companies that feature in the search.
I haven't looked into them a lot myself, but how about something like Sumo Springs? Forge Overland keeps them in stock sometime in the US. Not sure where you would get them in AUS. You just slide them in and secure them into the rear springs to add some stiffness when needed.

Sumo springs like Teek said are actually a decent option. Otherwise you would have to fit factory air suspect.

Another option, and this is purely based on my speculation, you could stick some hybrid springs in. Hybrids are heavier therefore they should have higher rate springs. They definitely have their own proprietary spring rates. That would be an experiment though.

Have you tried King Springs or another is Browns Spring Works in Melbourne. I put Kings in the rear and Browns in the front of my 7L a couple of years ago.

there are heaps of options for both the 7L and also the CR, but so far I have not had success finding anything for a 7P - so frustrating

What about getting a hold of Eibach and getting them to suggest a suitable progressive rate set of springs.
There are spring manufactures that can make springs but you have to give them the specs.
Type of wire, thickness, spring rate, coil diameter yadayada.

There are also spring repair places that will retention your springs and make them a little stiffer.
