My wife and I picked up her new ride today and I have to say, and after coming from a full size RR and then a RR Sport, I am very impressed with our V6 2008 Touareg. Build quality, fit and finish are first class. Here are some specs, and I will post pics as soon as I can

2008 Touareg 2, V6
Black Magic Metallic
Cricket Brown Leather
20" Mountain alloys
rear view camera, wooden steering wheel, bi xenons, power everything

My dealer told me that I was one of the lucky few to pick up an 08 with the new touch screen display. Only problem is, it's so new that the navi DVD isn't here and the language is preset to German for another 2-3 weeks!!! I didn't even know anything about this new system, but it's pretty high tech, and very well put together (much nicer than the Porsche, Audi, and older VW screens). Does anyone else have this system?

And for 20" rims, the car goes over speed bumps pretty nicely!

Ok, I've got some pics up, not great, but I was stil half asleep

Comments?

I think the 30 GB includes 10 GB just for NAVI, then why do I need a DVD to change the language or to use the navi???

I have to say I was impressed with this car, so much so that since buying it, I haven't driven the 650 once!! And the last three SUVs I had were a G500, full size Range Rover followed by a Range Rover Sport supercharged. This car falls right up there, and its actually just as well built and luxurious as the full size RR! One feature I love is the DVD player on the new navi, until I receive the actual navigation DVD, I'm playing some music DVDs, and of course when the car speeds up the screen goes blank, but when I stop at a light, the screen automatically comes back on. On the range rover sport, I have to have the car in P or N AND have the electronic brake on. The screen is amazing too, it's huge! Well done VW!!!
