I recently purchased a 08' Treg and all the chrome window trim was badly oxidized :frown2: I tried using Turtle Wax-med polishing compound, by hand, with very little success. Frustrated, I busted out my Dremel Rotary tool with the 1" felt polishing wheel and WOW, good results. I masked off (3m green masking automotive tape) one window at a time and worked one 12 inch section of trim at a time. Simply used a Q-tip to spread the compound on a 12" length of the trim and worked it over with the Dremel/polish wheel at about 3.5k to 4k rpm. It's a bit messy so be prepared to clean up the money shot :grin2: but I'm satisfied with the results. Don't forget to use a micro fiber towel (or other buffing towel) for the final clean up. (Wish I would've took pics but believe me it was oxidized bad.)

Good luck! :smile2:

Yes!:geek:
Although I used a dremel to polish the majority of my window chrome trim, I actually used 1000 grit sandpaper plus Turtle wax-chrome polish to shine mine back to life. (I did this because my dremel battery died and I was on a mission to finish removing all the corrosion from the chrome trim.) Worked well! (Disclaimer...test on a small spot and do this at your own risk.)
