First let me say, my climate control works. The strange thing is, it come on when its turned off, it blows full power when its turned down, but not all of the time. Its like it has a mind of its own. It seems like its trying really hard to sense the temperature. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like you need a new AC control unit. Really easy to replace, there should be instructions on here on how to do it. Once you pull out your HU, it should be a 2 minute affair at most.

These also used to be on discount sale by VW for half a brownie. Not sure what they are going for now.

Just remember to do a "basic settings adapt. with you VAG-COM device.

Technically I think "climate change" could refer to either getting warmer or colder, but isn't it typically (modern era) referred to as getting warmer, thus it's semantically equivalent to "global warming" in the current english nomenclature?

I think that depends on the day. It seems like the winter blizzards are called climate change and the summer heat waves are called global warming. I just want know how the guys get by with blowing up the ice glaciers to get ice and pure water.....

Oh, I thought winter blizzards were still caused by global warming (also my lack of blizzards in DC caused by global warming)

I think I'm going to wait until the erratic climate control goes completely bonkers before replacing the failed part. Yes, I'm that cheap. I will report back when I fix it.
