Good evening .

I hope you can help me. I’m looking for a clip to refit my engine control unit to my 2007 3.0 TDi 225kw.
There are two plastic clips and I’ve lost one which dropped into the cavity in the bulkhead. They are black plastic and clip over the side of the control unit.

does anyone know the part number?

Do you know ow which side of the bulkhead chamber the clip fell into?

If so, i would locate the bulkhead drain in the wheel arch on that side, remove the rubber bung and use a hose pipe to wash all the crap and, hopefully, the clip down to the hole.

If retrieved, clean out the other bulkhead drain as well and throw the rubber bungs away.

With all the heavy rain we've had you might, if your car sits outside, even see the clip when you pull the rubber teat!

And whilst you are at it, remove one of the rubber grommets in each of the door sills as well.

Then you will have cured two known leak issues on Generation 1 Touaregs!

Thanks for the tip. It fell down the side with the drain hole inboard of the ECU. I cleaned the area last year after buying the car and it was amazing what came out! I did replace the bungs but think your suggestion of junking them is a good one
