I get the impression their product/technology (my guess was a Linux based car stereo/MP3 player) was bought out by SonicBlue and incorporated into their Rio product line, and that a comparable product to the empeg either has not been released or will not be.

I only glanced at it for a few seconds though, without taking time to read it all through. You're right on it not seeming too specific.
