might be a dieing battery, have you changed the battery before on it considering its a 2005?
Electrical Gremlins...
Just recently I'm experiencing electrical gremlins with my 2005 V6 Touareg. For example: I started the car and my volume control on the steering wheel didn't work. Shut off the car and it worked. Another day, started the car and the sun roof wouldn't open. Turned off the car and it worked. Another day, started the car and the cruise control didn't work. I push the button and nothing happens, no light on the dash nothing. Started my car this morning and my climate control is not working properly. What's going on? Everyday there something else the doesn't work but then it does when the car is shot off! Driving me crazy!
Anybody else having this issue?

I have not replaced the battery yet because I haven't had a starting issue at all. Starts quickly and easily every day. Do you think that could still be the problem?
I have an 04, was experiencing weird electrical issues until I replaced the battery. Battery didn't show any signs of being bad but had it tested at AutoZone and sure enough their meter indicated "replace battery".

Yup the battery needed to be replaced. It wasn't strong enough to power all the accessories and was shutting one or two down randomly. Now that the battery has been replaced I haven't had any issues. Thanks guys!
