Is this the method you used - * Note the LED "Value" adjustment that needs to be completed (last steps)?
I appreciate that you most likely will have completed the first half of the instruction (to get the command to appear on the screen of the RNS850)

Add the Daytime Running Lights menu option to the RNS-850 and disable current monitoring of the parking/DRLs:

• VAG-COM
• 09 - Central Electronics
• Coding - 07
• Long Coding Helper
• Select Byte 3
  • Bit 0 - check it (this adds DRL control to RNS-850)
• Select Byte 14
  • Bit 4 - uncheck it (this disables load monitoring of parking lights)
  • Bit 6 - uncheck it (this disables load monitoring of LED DRLs)
  • (yes, I had to disable both to prevent bulb warnings even though the amber parking lights still stay on)
• Click Do It! to write to the controller

Go into the RNS-850 and turn off Daytime Running Lights

At this point, the DRLs are off - but the LEDs will turn back on when the headlights are turned on. Back to VCDS... Adjust the dimming of the LEDs to turn them off.

  • Use code 20113
• Adaptation - 10
• Select Channel 3
  • Set to 20 (this may be vehicle specific... keep turning it down until the LED lights turn off)
• Save it

The end result is... the LED strips are off all the time now. Even when the headlights are on.
