My support bracket lasted 92K miles and I completed the replacement over the weekend. I bought the EPS bracket and can say its a very neat product and way better than the factory bracket. The play on the shaft before the fix was +- 6-10 mm and can only imagine the drive shaft has been wobbling along for many miles.

Here are a few pics of the procedure. Its a fairly easy DIY and total cost was around $ 400 and took around 2 hours. The most tricky part was to remove the bearing seals, there are 2 of them and as you can see the bearing was on the dry side. I added Liqui Moly bearing grease and it should be fine for the remaining life of the car.
