The shop butchered your fix. Take it back.
Yes I will take back. It’s scheduled to go back on Jan 10th because I could still smell exhaust leak upon startup and while i was stopped. I can smell in the cabin if air is on. Then I also got this error code post fix. What do you think got messed up or neglected while fixing the exhaust? thanks.

He is... he's got a '15 and his paperwork shows all warranty work.
.... but I'm willing to bet that they will gouge him because it's "electrical" and that's not covered.
I sure hope not. but isn’t all CEL’s covered anyway? plus where they just did the exhaust work....

Easy argument, NOx sensors deal 100% with emissions only. Emissions equipment and controls including sensors

Cant copy and paste from pdf but as it says in warranty:-

The ENTIRE emission treatment system including DPF, SCR ,DOC , DEF injector ,ALL SENSORS and actuators. Thats 100% for MY2015 models but I'm 99 certain it will cover it on other years

I know theyll put up a fight but completely fruitless as he has the mandatory CEL and we know they touched the sensor and know its busted. They probably dont care because it will be under warranty and will able to hide the evidence of screw up.

I'm confident that if you or I rolled in there with those conditions, we'd get it covered.
I'm not confident that the OP has what it takes to handle the situation in a similar way.

I'm fearful that they will charge him for it and then "double dip" by having it covered under warranty on top of it.

I was going to change the color too just to make it a little more challenging.....
But would Y’ALL drive this until Jan 10th or would you rearrange everything and take back in tomorrow morning? Sucks it happened new years day and nothing is open today either.

I'd drive it as much as possible to clog up all the new stuff they've just replaced.... as your DPF and CAT won't be regenerating so you should be able to pop some more codes in a week...... but I'm also :devilish:
haha yeah but is it good to clog up the new stuff? i don’t want to do that unless it’s beneficial for diagnosis. But it’s a major inconvenience to me and my work to bring back in with no appointment.

I can't make that call for you..... you took a broken vehicle in for warranty, and picked up a broken vehicle after it was "fixed". If you want to incur additional costs\inconvenience to save the partially fixed vehicle and components from further degradation, it's totally up to you.

so you don’t think this code will go away on it’s own? yeah i’ll probably try to pop into dealership first thing tomorrow morning before work.

I've never seen a flaky electrical connection "fix" itself
If you believe that "codes go away on their own", why are you worried about it? Just ignore it and keep praying to the miracle Gods.
