I have my check engine light on, my cheap scan tool comes up with code P245F00. DPF Pressure sensor B circuit.

Can anyone help me with the location of the sensor?

Mine is 2013, V8 TDI.

There will be a pre and post sensor, otherwise the reading wouldn't mean anything as there's no delta.... You need a proper diagnostic tool so you can narrow it down.

3.0L TDI has one differential pressure sensor....I doubt the V8 is any different.

Yes if it's a dual port but it still needs to take pre and post signal readings for the delta.

The fact that the tool reports it as "circuit B" would indicate that there is more than one to me.

The final good news is, I believe these are on top of your tranny or in that area, so you probably need to drop the engine\tanny to gain access to them..... probably possible by just unbolting the subframe mounts and partially lowering it enough to get some access to them.

Magnificent, just what i was thinking.
I got a quote from a local dealer, they told me 1 hour labour. I think I'm being stitched up. Not sure how they'll do it in 1 hour, especially if it can't be seen externally.
My guess is they've never worked on a V8 tdi.

Right....so it looks like 2 differential pressure sensors because it looks like the V8 has two DPF's.

So single sensor reading the pressure differential across the corresponding DPF, not one sensor pre dpf and one post dpf.
