Hi.
Just joined the forum and tried to search for this so please forgive me if it has already been posted.
Is it possible to download the route you have taken from the RNS850 (like I could from my Garmen) and if so how.

Don't think you can, it's a pretty closed system, at least until they come out with a CarPlay version, maybe.

Do some searching and you'll find all external GPS users complain about the built-in system, it's a long way behind those units but the trade-off is the car integration. If you really need the extra bells and whistles, stick with your Garmin. Otherwise settle for the "OK" RNS-850.

It was the kind of answer I expected, as you say VW has the system closed.
Worth a try.
Looks like I will have to get a GPS tracker to record the track when we go bush.
Only had the car for 3 weeks and still finding things out.
