I bought this barrier in 2004 directly from Volkswagen Parts. It was built specifically for the Touareg, and it is an excellent, high-quality barrier. I used it to keep my dog securely in the cargo area but it is multi-purpose as a cargo barrier. It has only a minor scuff mark at the very top (see photos--once it is installed in the Touareg you won’t even see it because the scuff mark faces the ceiling). The barrier does not require any drilling to install. I am selling it because I sold my ’04 Touareg in September of this year and replaced it with a ‘12 VW Touareg TDI…to my dismay it does not fit in the redesigned Touareg model, otherwise I wouldn’t be selling it.
