The dealership had to pull my engine and replace both heads due to exhaust leaks from the injectors. Apparently during the engine removal they destroyed the particulate filter and I am trying to source one they can pick up since it is warranty work. If anyone knows where a new one in North America is please let me know. These are on back order with no estimated date, which means I could be waiting a very long time to get it back!

I wish the dealer could put on an aftermarket or used one, but for warranty reasons it has to be factory new. I am greatful for the warranty and have had several big items (about 25k worth) it saved me with, and I don't want to jepardize losing it. Since my dealer is full of morons, I am doing the leg work to find one. I was hoping someone here may know if their dealer or some warehouse happened to have one in stock that my dealer could get. I have begun looking at the Audi dealers as well since they are the same.

They did give me an Atlas at least for a loaner. It does have a hitch, but its power is anemic at best compared to my TDI Treg and I want to tow soon.

Just thought I would give an update.
My VW dealership was unwilling to do the leg work to find a replacement DPF for the one they destroyed and were going to wait for the back ordered part. Since its the same as Audi I tried a local dealership and they were able to look at some national database and found one at a Porsche dealer within a 100miles. Again the VW dealership did not want to do anything at first saying its PORSCHE. So I met with the parts manager and got him to buy the new DPF from the Porsche dealer getting reimbursed by VW.

They did get my Treg back together and running normally after replacing both heads. I don't notice a difference in performance, but it does idle smoother. Lots of parts got cleaned or replaced since the engine was completely apart, so that is fantastic. I love my Treg, but I hate VW. Which is funny because Audi is under the same umbrella, but they are so much better to work with. At least so far in my experience and I prefer the Treg over the Q7.
