Hi,

I am wondering whether i can replace the bumper from a pre-face lifted Toureg (pre 07) with the face lifted model?

I can see the front guards would also need to be replaced, but are the attachment points for these and bumper the same on both models?

It will be a costly face lift. As Spock said, fenders will be included in that as well since the headlights are way different then the first gen Tregs.

Yes I had conceded the fact that i would need to replace lights, fenders and possibly bonnet. I was hoping to locate a wreck to minimize expense and then put a hoefle front bumper kit on it.

Has anyone out there actually done it?

Damon anything is possible if you are in the right place at the right time. But if you want to replace the front end just to put on a bumper kit for the newer model that really would be a pain in the but.

1. 08 and up Hofele front bumper skin 2,000 and up
2. Left and right headlight housing if you have bixenon you talking 1,400 to 2,000 plus
3. New left and right fenders and possibly wheelarch liner could be another 1,500 or more.

Most cars are involved in front end crashes, so hanging around and waiting for a relatively lower volume vehicle to be T-Boned or rear ended may have you waiting to realize your dream for quite some time.

There are not many distibutors of Hofele part to begin with so special order a massive piece may add to the cost of the part.

if you want to make a subtle change to the front of you touareg that you already own would be to go with the Hofele Route GT front end. which is a direct swap and you can have the giant sheild look paint onto the bumper similar to the GTI or the current Audis.

Or your can just do that paint treatment to your current bumper and have folks scratching their heads like what year did that on front end come out.

That was very helpful. I have had a look at that Hofele bumper and is does look great. I guess i've got some deciding to do.
