2004 4.2 V8 Touareg
It's a feature I don't particularly want, and certainly don't need. I just want a key fob to lock/unlock the car from range, and a key in the ignition to drive.
I'm wondering if there is a way, whether by removing certain parts/connectors, through VCDS, or maybe in the dash menu, to disable the feature where placing your hand in the handle (with the key in pocket) will unlock the car. As I said before, I just want a really basic key-fob to lock/unlock.
All my searching has come up with people talking about making RF shields and faraday cages for their keys...
