Just noticed since a couple of months, the headlight have started to get really dim, and there is no warning light shown on the MFD either. Now, slowly there is a lot of dust gathering inside the headlight assembly, i checked for cracks but haven't located any till now. Can these be cleaned or i would have to get new ones?

Also, after how long should one change the bulbs? The ones i am using have lasted me 4.5years.

In the picture you can notice one of the headlamp is slightly dimmer than the other one.

Need help !!

Having dust/moisture show up inside your Headlight is not good. It means that your headlight is not properly sealed. It does not need to have any visual cracks for the seal to fail. Your headlight is actually composed of two pieces held together by a watertight glue. That seal could be failing, though I would say that is unlikely.

The more likely case is that there is a leak between the seal of your bulbs and your headlight. I would check your bulbs to make sure they are properly inserted into your headlights and the seal is good.

As for the dim light, it could be due to age of the bulb. But if you have a bad seal, the moisture/dust will mess with the light and cause it to dim as well.

You can clean the headlight. You would have to apply heat to the factory seal to remove the lense, so you can get into the headlight and clean it. Before you do that, buy some butyl rubber strips so you can use it to re-seal your headlight.
