As long as the overall diameter doesn't change you'll be fine.

What you're proposing, 255/55/18 vs 265/60/18 is 5.2% different overall.

Now, a 275/55/18 is only 3.1% larger overall
265/55/18 is only 1.7% larger (very acceptable)
A 285/50/18 is only 0.7% larger overall (very acceptable..)
325/45/18 is only 1.7% larger (very acceptable) - this would be 12.8" wide vs 10" wide stock, and 29.5" tall vs 29" tall stock

Thanks for the reply I was looking into having a bit of extra sidewall as i do drive a fair bit on gravel roads, and the two options available locally is either go with the BFG ko2 on 255/55 or Pirelli scorpion at plus on 265/60 which I think is a 30,5 in diameter, is 30,5 still acceptable do i need to do any mods or software i have air suspension. Again thanks for the input

I really don't think you'll have any issues w/ air suspension or electronics making this change. Just keep in mind your odometer will be 5.2% off w/ those tires

30.5 is fine.

Your speedometer will be more accurate in terms of speed but check it against a GPS device on a level road.

The speedometer will read somewhat closer to accurate but the odometer will be pretty far off.

30.5" OD made my speedo dead accurate, but slowed the odometer down by 5%. Just need to add the 5% back when figuring out mpg.
