Haven't posted here in a while but have been a member since late '04. I have an early VIN 2004 V6 that I still love. Purchased platinum RealDriver warranty at delivery. Recently, dealer is giving me grief over a few extended warranty replacement items. I need your help in helping them negotiate with the warranty company. Your tips appreciated!
TMPS sensors -- on right side have gone bad. They replaced the left side 8 months ago under extended warranty and are now saying right side is not covered! Same exact defect now. Right side went bad shortly after left-side replacement. I gave them a lot of grief on this one!
Driveshaft -- they are replacing with no hassle after high-speed shimmy noticed.
The emergency brake handle broke off in my hand and they are telling me it isn't covered! I had the entire assembly replaced several times because it stops releasing properly, yet when the handle breaks off, they tell me it's not covered! This is NOT a trim item and not a wear item and therefore should be covered. I wonder if we should submit that the break is again not releasing properly, and that that's why the silly handle broke off!
Rear-window sunshade has come apart and they are tilling me, without even having checked, that this is not a covered item. It's not a trim piece and it is not a wear item; thus, I think it may be covered. Anyone have this problem?
Xenon bulb has begun to go out/flicker. I have seen some posts that these can be covered if the whole assembly is replaced. Anyone know the skinny on replacing the bulbs oneself if they are not covered?
Thanks!
