Dealer Giving Warranty Trouble over Several Issues!

Haven't posted here in a while but have been a member since late '04. I have an early VIN 2004 V6 that I still love. Purchased platinum RealDriver warranty at delivery. Recently, dealer is giving me grief over a few extended warranty replacement items. I need your help in helping them negotiate with the warranty company. Your tips appreciated!

TMPS sensors -- on right side have gone bad. They replaced the left side 8 months ago under extended warranty and are now saying right side is not covered! Same exact defect now. Right side went bad shortly after left-side replacement. I gave them a lot of grief on this one!

Driveshaft -- they are replacing with no hassle after high-speed shimmy noticed.

The emergency brake handle broke off in my hand and they are telling me it isn't covered! I had the entire assembly replaced several times because it stops releasing properly, yet when the handle breaks off, they tell me it's not covered! This is NOT a trim item and not a wear item and therefore should be covered. I wonder if we should submit that the break is again not releasing properly, and that that's why the silly handle broke off!

Rear-window sunshade has come apart and they are tilling me, without even having checked, that this is not a covered item. It's not a trim piece and it is not a wear item; thus, I think it may be covered. Anyone have this problem?

Xenon bulb has begun to go out/flicker. I have seen some posts that these can be covered if the whole assembly is replaced. Anyone know the skinny on replacing the bulbs oneself if they are not covered?

Thanks!

Look for Phillips or Osram D1S replacement bulbs. I purchased some from www.phillips-d2s.com if not in any hurry and tolerate the risk of a painful repair and return process if they don't work when you install them. Mind worked with no issues. They had best price of $126.23 for a pair including shipping to an US address. Another good source if you want to pay a fair price with less risk from a US supplier is one of our forum members, QPower1. Phillips and Osram are made in Germany and meet VW specs. The replacement ones from Asia, personally not for me, IMO the quality of their HID ballasts does not match up to the German made ones

They can be replaced yourself if you have an hour to kill and are not tool challenged. There are other howto posts on this forum and VWVortex.

The main thing is have hands clean when doing the actual bulb change operation and never touch any part of the bulb other than the metal box at the back.

The other thing is if you do yourself, when you return the headlight assemblies to the Touareg, don't over do it - other posters have talked about using too much force on the close handle and breaking their headlight housing, a big dollar repair.

I had no luck the the bulb replacment either under the extended warranty, even showed them the TSB about the flicker issure. But it seem to be at the discression of the dealer as some have been covered. I ended up doing it my self(very easy) and also saved a ton of dough.
