I recently had to have my rotors replaced after a heavy shudder through the steering wheel under braking. The rotors were warped at 10k.
My mechanic put slotted DBA rotors on and left the DBA pads as they were still new. The original rotors were standard DBA ones.
Shudder from steering wheel is now gone under braking, but the pads and rotors don't like each other. I can feel the pads grabbing but a heavy noise/vibration has now replaced it. I can feel this through the steering wheel. He took off the pads and roughed them up as he thought maybe they were glazed.
Problem is still there. Mechanic said I need to leave with it as they are working very well...
I have read about various pads on this Treg forum, but don't know what to use on slotted rotors.
Went to the local auto shop, and they told me if it has sensors they are Brembos....but I don't think I have these on my T2 2008 V6 tdi.
Anyone with experience with DBA slotted rotors and what pads I should be using ?
