Hey guys, just joined yesterday.... I have a 2005 V6 that I got for bad weather and to take to the deer lease and get a little dirty. I am definitely interested in improving the vehicles off-road capabilities and am hoping this forum will be a helpful resource in doing so!

Good AT tires on 17 or 18 inch wheels and reading the terrain sensibly will get the car most places you need to go as the off road capabilities are already very good.

He's got a V6 so he's dodged the timing belt, tensioners, water pump, thermostat, 80K/5yrs, whichever comes 1st, lecture!!

The standard overall diameter on all OEM wheel and tire combinations is 29 inches.
You can fit oversize tires up to a maximum of 31.5 inches which will give you an extra 1.25 inches of clearance.
With spacers you can get to 32 inches but that's not worth the expenditure in my book.
