The previous owner of my 2005 Touareg had an XM radio installed, which includes an input audio jack presumably going to the AUX channel. The jack appears to be a standard 3.5mm stereo jack (pictured). I'd like to play music from my iPhone jack, but I cannot seem to make it work. I've tried just about every combination of settings with no avail.

Anyone have an ideas?

Sorry. What do you mean by head unit? Is that the model of XM radio? If so, I have no idea. All that's left is a cradle, into which plug a power adapter, and antenna, and what I assume is the 3.5mm audio input cable that you see in the picture - all of which disappear into the dash.

Head unit means what radio is in your Treg. I don't think you will get that to work like you want to. Wasn't set up to do what you want. If you have a media button on your radio you can try that while it is hooked up, but it is a long shot.

Here you go. This is not a photo of my radio, but the same one ripped from the web. The mount and cords I mentioned previously are just on the right side of the radio head.
