On the website they released partial vin with last 4 digits missing 😡

You could use Google Translate if your just messaging. If you're on the phone with them.... then good luck, I hear it's one of the harder languages to pronounce correctly.

3. VW part number would be the same except for the very last letter added as a suffix. This has been my experience with limited edition or short run parts.

 

This is the Touareg vin WVGZZZ7PZFD004570

 

As you can see, no chrome. All gloss black vw oem parts. We need these part numbers and we need a way to buy them from VW. I have called VW and they are not helpful without part numbers.

 

I think those ZZZ are placeholders to avoid showing the full vin for safety reasons I assume. I saw this used in other vehicles on the same site.

After 3 hours i gave up looking... we might have to dig deeper in chinese perhaps?

 

I spent a couple hundred on the phone with vw dealer in Taiwan and could not get the vin number to the best english speaker they had in the building...

I believe this problem has to be solved by somone employed by VW taking the time to access an international parts index for the part number. My local dealer parts people do not have the desire or ability to do that.. apparently

 

Contact them using Google Translate, don't write to them in english.

I shall call the dealer today and see if thats something we can order.

 

I looked again and those parts are not even the gloss black parts, the are unfinished black abs pieces....

 

We need answers from VW.... the next step might be finding someome high up in vw parts international to help.

 

I found sets of Black Titanium trim on eBay. Window, body and both upper and lower grills. These are applied over the chrome pieces with double sided tape.


All being shipped shipped from China, but buyer protection from both eBay and PayPal.

I currently have the trim with a black vinyl wrap, so I'll be removing that to stick the

covers on and take photos after.

I've attached a photo of my car as it is now.

Also to add to this thread the updated 2015 Touareg was offered in Brazil with an optional "El paquete de diseño Country" aka Country Design package. It also had all satin black features. I'll try to compile those parts numbers as well, as it could possibly prove easier to get. The part numbers are probably the same.

In Europe, this is the cheap model. Those trims are just rubber, lower sides of the doors and bumpers are just cheap unpainted plastic, I had them and changed to chrome and i plan to wrap them in black. I never saw factory black trims.

 

We have a dream. For black oem trim pieces!!!

We have part numbers for oem black trim. Next step is to find a source in America. My local vw dealer is not helpful in any way. Hopefully we can find a vw parts guy who can help.

I have recieved my Black Titanium window trim from the seller in China. It was very well packaged and a trial fit indicates they will work. I'm waiting till March, when its warmer here in AZ, to remove the current black vinyl on the chrome and then put the window kit on. I'll try to include some picks of the install as it goes along. After getting the window kit, I ordered black lower door trim kit and the upper and lower black grille covers. I'll have to figure out another option for the top bar on the lower grille, because the only option the kit has is a two piece cover installed on either side of license plate holder and front license plat is not provided in AZ, so I don't have the plate holder.
