My Touareg is 2004 V8. The checking engine light on yesterday when i drive home. My friend use a computer connect to the car and delete it. The computer shows that is System to lean. I am afraid it will come again. Is there any part i need to replace?

System too lean can be from dozens of things, generic scan tools really can't tell you the specific information that you will probably need to know to diagnose it (such as, is it system too lean additive or multiplicative, both banks or just one, etc)

Whenever I have had that in my Audi or my 04 V8 it was a bad MAF (mass airflow sensor). My not be your case. Dealer service took care of mine since it was under warranty every time.

When mine came on the dealer said it was a "Faulty Vacume Valve" which used repair kit 077-198-327-A ($356). I think that is the airflow sensor....I believe they are plastic and prone to break. There is a post on here for someone who makes METAL ones that are sturdier (and I think cheaper).
