2012 TDI . oil light yellow, keeps saying to add one quart. Have added 2 quarts and still get same message, How do you check the oil level. following the instructions leads me to an altimiter level .

DO NOT add any more oil!!! Take it in ASAP. You're probably two quarts overfilled by now. This is a know software/sensor problem. I've had mine repaired three times so far, and it's still playing games every now and then. You can also open and close the hood to reset the sensor. Then check again.
