I belive the flex pipes ahead of one of my converters is leaking. The dealer wanter $1800 to repair, not even replace. I'm waiting for a quote from exhaust place on replacing the flex part and reinstalling old converters.

What kind of price to replace the converter with aftermarket?

The dealer has some kind of repair kit. I'm not sure how it is done. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the converters on a V8 and the price they paid

You can not successfully fix a flex pipe.

Nor guess a cost of an unknown engine/location?

They fix with filler probably. Not a viable solution since you can get flex pipe for $40.

OK just got a quote to replace the flex pipes from Lou's custom exhaust $600/per pipe or $1200 for both. Sounds steep I wonder how much replacing the whole converter would be?
