Well, the dealer said:
1. the A/C was to spec and so did nothing
2. radio reception to spec and so did nothing
3. downshifting to spec and so did nothing
4. idle to spec and so did nothing...

great...plus they can't get some spots off the car that are under the clearcoat and will have to have a VW rep come out to "inspect"

Sorry to hear about that.

The paint issue may likely be solved by taking a blow dryer to the paint, while in the sun.

I've read in the past where that has taken some of the milky spots out of the paint. I don't know if this is your problem... but good luck.
