It's like this: I want a Porsche Cayenne with a V10 TDI. Since I can't have that, a Touareg will have to do... But, if I could make my reg handle like a Cayenne I would be much happier
As far as I know the only reason that a Cayenne handles better is becuase of bigger wheels/tires, thicker anti sway bars, lighter weight, tighter steering and lower suspension.
So... besides the weight and steering, if you swapped sway bars, vagged the suspension lower an inch or so and put on some larger street tires, it should handle the same right?
Or, is there more that meets the eye? Does the cayenne have a different steering system? Different suspension components? Does Porsche traction management and less weight make that much of a difference?
BTW the reason I want a TDI over the TT is because there is a biodiesel station right next to my work in Los Angeles. I feel like if im going to drive a gas guzzler, may as well run it on vegetables.
Thanks for your input!
