Hey, everybody!

Gekko and I are very excited to share information about our very first show set for Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 - the "V-Dubs, Scooters, and Trucks... Oh, My!!" show - happening at Logan's Roadhouse, Chili's, Fudd's, and Tinseltown 290 (the Northwest Freeway @ Pinemont in Houston). What makes this so totally cool is that there will be three shows in one location and the proceeds from the show benefit the Gulf Coast Chapter of B.A.C.A. - Bikers Against Child Abuse.

This event is in its planning stages - we got the go-ahead from BACA and the prelims set just the other day, but here is what you'll need to mark it on your calendar:

- Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 (Rain Date set for Saturday, June 9)
- 8:00 am - 5:00pm
- 3 shows - one venue:
V-Dubs, Motorcycles, and Custom Trucks on display
- Trophies will be awarded for the top contenders at each of the three shows in each
competitive class, so feel free to BRING IT!!
- Registration to show your ride is $15.00 per vehicle
- Swap/Vendor Space is $20.00 per space
- We are seeking corporate or individual sponsors/advertisers for shirts/banners
- The raffle is gonna be one of the best you've ever seen!

GUARANTEED THIS IS GONNA BE ONE AWESOME SHOW!!!

If you have any questions or comments about the show, please feel free to PM us, call us @ 832-298-8449, or e-mail us at [email protected]. Please let us know if you need any hotel/motel info and we’ll get that to you pronto!

This show is sponsored and coordinated by Gekko's Aircooled Services. All proceeds from the show benefit the Gulf Coast Chapter of B.A.C.A. - Bikers Against Child Abuse. Get more info about B.A.C.A. at www.bacausa.com . B.A.C.A. is a 501c3 non-profit organization and your registration and raffle donations are tax-deductible.

See ya there!

Update for the Benefit Show in Houston on June 2nd

GREAT NEWS!

Plans are coming along nicely for the “V-Dubs, Scooters, and Trucks… Oh, My!!” show on Saturday, June 2nd. Sponsors are coming on board, the word is getting out… it’s really shaping up to look like a LOT of fun! And who could ask for a better reason to come hang out with your V-Dub friends, look at some spectacular bikes and custom trucks, eat some great food at Logan’s or Fudd’s, win some awesome raffle prizes, win some trophies, and then catch a movie after the show at Tinseltown. Who could ask for a better day?

BACA - Bikers Against Child Abuse - is the beneficiary of the proceeds from this event. The Gulf Coast Chapter of BACA works directly with kids who have been abused, providing these same kids with hope, confidence, and a safe, adoptive “family” of some fairly tough looking big brothers and sisters! BACA works in conjunction with state and local officials who are in place to protect these kids. You can learn more about BACA by following this link (http://www.bacausa.com/Internet/AboutBACA.aspx) which leads you to their Mission Statement and some other interesting facts about their organization.

If it’s info about the show itself you’re looking for, we’ve got some handy links below for you:

The BACA Benefit Show Flyer can be found by clicking here: http://www.gekkosaircooled.com

The BACA Benefit Show Pre-Registration Form (and Discount Shirt Pre-order!) can be found by clicking here: http://www.gekkosaircooled.com

The BACA Benefit Show Rules can be found by clicking here: http://www.gekkosaircooled.com (There aren’t many rules - just a couple! And they‘re really more like reminders…..)

We sincerely hope you can make it to the show and we look forward to seeing you there! Please be sure to e-mail us at [email protected] if you have any questions or need information about hotels/motels near the show site.

Thanks! See ya there!

We continue to count down the weeks until the “V-Dubs, Scooters, and Trucks… Oh, My!!” BACA Benefit Show on June 2nd! So much has been going on around here with getting ready for the Texas Classic that our preparations for the BACA show slowed down a bit. But, we’re back on track after a relaxing weekend in Fredricksburg and we’ve kicked it back in gear. I gotta tell ya, this show is gonna be so AWESOME!!

Darque Tan has totally blown us away with their sponsorship support!! They have very generously donated raffle prizes valued at $752.00 for our cause!! We owe Kimberly Williams a HUGE thank you! Click the link to go to Darque Tan’s website: www.darquetan.com.

Airhead Parts has graciously donated the goodie bags and some goodie bag stuffers! They’ve sent catalogs for everyone, plus they’ve sent the special Ghia edition of their catalog for those of you who need or want! (You can check ‘em out at www.airheadparts.com)

MainStream Productions, Inc. will be on hand at the show taking video shots of all that is going on. Need some video footage of your hot VW? Brenda can make it happen!! Just let her know who to look for at the show: [email protected]

Raffle stuff just keeps coming and coming…. The latest and greatest arrivals include giveaways from none other than the Houston Astros and the Houston Dynamo! Remember that you can keep tabs on all the great stuff that you can win in the raffle at www.gekkosaircooled.com. Tickets are just 50 cents apiece! You know you can’t beat that!

The show is just a few short weeks away, so be sure to get your discounted shirt order in and your registration stuff done. That way, you’ll spend less on your shirts and you won’t have to stand in line to fill out your paperwork to register your car!!! Don’t forget that we can take care of your payment online via PayPal - just e-mail us your info at [email protected] and we’ll send you an invoice. We will have a limited number of shirts on sale at the event, but it’s recommended to order ahead so we can be sure to have the sizes you want at that awesome discounted price!! Wow! What an incredible couple of days for planning a show!! It’s been totally amazing and I thought I’d share some of the good news with you!

The biggest news: JC Whitney is our newest sponsor! They are taking exceptional care of us and are donating $200.00 worth of gift certificates for our raffle! They are also sending VW, Motorcycle, and Truck catalogs for everyone! Thanks SO much, Justin! I’m sure most of you know it, but in case you don’t and want to check ‘em out, go to www.jcwhitney.com.

Eastside Honda will be our sponsor for the motorcycle trophies! A HUGE thanks to “Uncle Dave” Lancon for helping to orchestrate this! And thanks to Chris, too, for agreeing!! Their website is www.eastsidehonda.com.

Fast Signs at Westheimer and Greenridge is graciously donating two huge banners for the event: one to go in front of Fudd’s advertising the event and one to go behind the registration table to list our sponsors (who we ABSOLUTELY couldn’t do without!!!!) David at Fast Signs ROCKS! www.fastsigns.com

Carrie Graves at Stubbs Harley-Davidson has donated some really awesome HD goodies for the raffle. One is a picnic cooler tote with a place setting for two! She’s also donated 3 Harley T’s to raffle off. Carrie is absolutely awesome! Her website address is www.stubbshd.com. There’s lots of cool stuff to look at on their site!

Did I mention yet that raffle tickets are only 50 cents each???

Mid-America Motorworks has sent some goodie bag things AND some fun giveaways - ball caps, canvas tote bags, and some travel mugs! These items won’t be in our raffle, they’re actually door prizes and all you have to do is register for this drawing!

The shirt order goes in Wednesday of next week (May 16th) and the T-shirt design is in! It’s fantastic, too! Get your discounted shirt orders in before the deadline on Tuesday, May 15th!! Shirts are $10.00 each (regardless of size) if you send in your order before Tuesday. They’ll be $15 each after the 15th or on the day of the show, but we’ll only have a limited number of them on hand.

You can also register early and all the info can be found on our website at www.gekkosaircooled.com. There’s no discount on registration, but it’ll sure make your morning smoother if you don’t have to wait in line on June 2nd!

Raffle stuff is updated regularly and there’s so much more to come!! Come spend the day with us, have some fun, show off your ride, and help some kids.

See you June 2nd!

Can you believe there’s only one week left until the big BACA benefit show?? Gekko and I can hardly wait!!

JD with Cruisin’ Times will be playing our tunes at the show, the trophies are being made as I write, the shirts are being screened, and more raffle stuff CONTINUES to come in!! The banner goes up outside of Fudd’s tomorrow as we enter the homestretch to June 2nd!!

We hope that you are as excited about the show coming up as we are. We are expecting a tremendous turnout from you VW folks and we’ve had a great response from the custom truck and motorcycle communities, too! It promises to be a day like no other!!

The shirt discount deadline has passed, but you’re still welcome to pre-register if you want to (and save yourself a little time in line!). Registration will start at 8:00 and will continue until noon.

The excitement is almost unbearable!! It’s all coming together SO, SO nicely!

We have raffle stuff still to pick up and already we have in hand over 120 items to give away valued at over $2,600.00. Tremendous thanks to Darque Tan, JC Whitney, the Flagship Hotel in Galveston, Stubbs Harley-Davidson, the Aeros, the Astros, the Dynamo, Splashtown, Comedy Sportz, Houston Motorsports, Bap-Geon, The Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Houston area restaurants who have graciously donated gift cards and gift certificates, and all of the donors who are making this raffle the best there’s ever been! (Did I mention that we still have more prizes to pick up???)

The trophies will be on display throughout the day. Between all three shows, we’ll be handing out 54 class trophies and 4 “Best Of” trophies. Again, a SUPER HUGE thanks to Kermit at KAR Parts for sponsoring the VW trophies and Eastside Honda for sponsoring the motorcycle trophies!

The show shirts look FANTASTIC! Thanks to Harris Milam for creating our design! BACA even gets money off of every shirt sold, so we encourage you to buy a shirt and support their efforts with kids who live right here in our area!

Fudd’s will be cooking outside so we’ll be smellin’ their awesome burgers and fries all day long! Logan’s will have cool drinks for sippin’ outside, too! And, you can catch a summer blockbuster movie after the show at Tinseltown! What a way to spend a Saturday!!

Just a reminder that Brenda with MainStream Productions will be on hand to record your club or group’s cruise in… All you need to do is call us at 832-298-8449 about 10 minutes prior to your arrival with some key info (like who’s your lead VW and who’s bringing up the rear and how many are in-between) so we know with clarity what to record. We can also give you any special instructions for arrival so we can get your entire group on tape! There’ll be order forms on hand so you can get a DVD copy for yourself or for your club website, too.

We sincerely hope that you can join us this Saturday for an awesome day of fun! Come support BACA and the community of kids they serve, check out some totally awesome cars, trucks, and motorcycles, play on the inflatable, eat some yummy food, and hang out with friends! There’ll be so much to do and see! Registration is from 8:00 until noon – bring your sunblock, your shades, a hat, and a chair and come on out to see us! You won’t be disappointed!

See ya Saturday!
