I have a 2013 Touareg and have just replaced the front brakes. The rear bakes are still in great shape. Before I replaced the front I was getting a squeal from the brakes in reverse but not moving forward. Now with new fronts I am still having the same problem. Any ideas I help would be appreciated. I have replaced the sensors also.

Did you replace the brake pads AND the discs/rotors, or just the pads?

Who did the brakes - you, a VW dealer, or someone else?

What bakes have you got on the rear - chocolate cookies?!

I had them done at a shop. They turned the rotors. The rear are own as far as I know we have only had the car for 6 months.

You can't normally turn the rotors on a Touareg. There is only 1mm [1/32th] allowable wear on either side before they are deemed unserviceable so it is pretty normal to replace both rotors, pads and the wear sensors all at the same time.

How many miles on the clock?

It sounds like you need to find another shop who understand the Touareg and who will fit a new set of rotors, wear sensors and pads correctly.
