Will be getting an iPhone very soon (currently have an iPod Nano)...

What is the best solution people have found to integrate the phone features (via Bluetooth) into the speakers while keeping the music features hardwired into the stereo? Will just using the AUX plug do the trick as I do not want to lose my CD Changer?

I recently read a news release saying that the Blitzsafe I-Link would work - anyone use this method with their iPhone?

"Blitzsafe said it is already shipping an iLink iPhone adapter at a suggested $70. The iLink allows iPhone audio to play through the car's speakers and to mute when a call comes in. When the call is ended, the music resumes. The kit also charges the iPhone and may be used with vehicles from Audi, BMW, Acura, Honda, Volkswagon, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ford, Volvo, Toyota, Scion, Lincoln, Mercury, Mini, Plymouth and some Jaguar and Land Rover models. A General Motors version should be ready within the next 30 days. The iLink will also work with aftermarket radios that have an auxiliary input."

I have the I phone and have the blitzsafe and it works great!

Good luck.

Thanks for the quick reply...

Do you have a 'Blitzsafe Universal iPod Interface (UII) adapter' or a 'Blitzsafe I-Link adapter'? And what exact parts do you have to achieve the bluetooth capabilities and playback for the ipod?

I am having a bear of a time finding a reliable installer in New Orleans - do you recommend anyone in the Houston area to do the install? I come down there quite a bit and would prefer it be done by someone who knew what they were doing.

I am assuming you hard wired the ipod using the AUX input and it comes out around the center console but what are you using for the Bluetooth adapter?

Sorry for the barrage of questions but I have been trying to get this project done for months now and the more research I do on the forums the more confused and frustrated I get.

I purchased it through treg central. They wired it through the 6 disc changer and wired it behind my XM click on the link above to see.

You can control it when the steering wheel MFI is on NAV. or throgh the radio.

You cant see the song name but I usually have a play list, its great that it will chrge and play and the same time.

I do have a good hook up in Houston.

I had considered the H/K but didn't want anything sticking up on the dash. Callihan, I got your PM and appreciate you getting back to me. I will be contacting you in the very near future to get the installer info in Houston. By the way, do you still have the ability to use your CD changer or did you have to disconnect it for the iPod adapter?

Didn't have the 6 disc changer. You might need an adaptor for that. I will ask him tomorrow when i pic up my treg.

Sounds good. I noticed on your link that you added a DVD nav that you picked up on ebay. Did your Treg originally come with the CD nav? Mine has the CD nav and I was wondering if you decided to change it over to DVD and why... thanks!

had stock radio, I upgraded it to the dvd nav it has only one disc, which is nice.

The touch screen DVD nav should come out in late 08. I read that it should work on all Tregs and will be blue tooth intergrated.
