Folks,
I have installed an OEM backup camera and controller and am trying to code it, but as noted elsewhere on vwvortex forum, some adaptions require a security code.
No code came with the controller - does anyone know if it is a standard code (and if so what) or how to find out the code.

I'm sorry that I do not have an answer for you, but I have a question. I would like to add this feature also what Nav do you have CD or early 2005 DVD, what did you need to do to install? Again sorry for the question when your looking for answers.

To answer your question, I have a V10 with analog TV.
Other threads have the part numbers:
you will need:
handle
camera,
controller,
cable.
Installation is tricky but straight forward.
If you have an analog tv, it is a matter of moving pins about. If you don't you will need to run the cable from the nav to the rear.
I can tell you where to source all the other bits and pieces.
I was going to put a thread together to explain if there was enough interest.

Still need info on coding though.
The camera and parking guides are fantastic. And the additional safety for kids behind is worth every cent.

i'd be interested in a write up on how this is done as well as the cost. associated with it. i believe someone on vortex has coded this correctly i will try running a full search when i have more time. good luck though and i look forward to more info
