I ordered a set of LED tail lights from Dectane Tuning in Germany and they arrived damaged. Dectane was quick to take my money and the order arrived without delay. But once I alerted them of the damage they've gone dark. I'm now in limbo over how to handle a return or exchange and unable to enjoy them on the car. Anyone else have a similar experience? Also, users should be aware that Dectane's lights are not German-made as someone posted. They're made in Taiwan.

AH how did you pay for them ? if by credit card you can claim the money back from the card company, well in Europe anyway.

Thanks. It's an option in the States too. After repeated attempts at contacting Dectane with only one response saying I'll be contacted, which has yet to happen, I've submitted a claim. We'll see what happens.

That is a shame. Unless Dectane went super cheap with the shipping, they should be able to file with the shipping company for damages and not be out any money.

With them leaving you no recourse but to file a claim, they risk losing it all.

Hi so I have a problem with my own set, Some lights work and others don't. The normal rear lights work as do, indicators, brake and 1 reversing light. the fog light doesn't work then gives me a error code on the screen. So I sent them a message on their e mail page on their own site. They have answered within 12 hours, they asked for the invoice so scanned that it and sent it off, as there was no control box(s) in the package, it could be updated lights that don't need one, but I doubt it. So they havae a number, which is +49 (0)341 236 8000

Tried some LED number plate light I had that say they are can bus error free but they weren't. Hope this helps as they are great looking lights.

Ianstouareg: Have you established whether you have bought left hand drive lights for a right hand drive car due to one section of the Dectane site not making it clear they only sell rear LED lights for LHD cars?

Still not sure on that question NoobY, I am thinking maybe they either sent out the wrong ones, I wasn't clear on that either, but looking at the clusters they both have the led's all in the same places so it would be a case wiring through, but right now not part of the plan, going to switch back to the old lights till this is resolved.

I was thinking of getting a set but not with issues going on... They are pretty expensive as they are and should be problem free. Wish we had more options.

They forgot to provide the two controllers and they did realise that it was for right hand drive. Technical department say that they are the same lights LHD or RHD. it is the controllers that make it work for RHD or LHD. and they look great.

The day after I fitted and tested mine and they proved to work partially (see my reply above), I telephoned them on their number, I spoke to a very helpful receptionist, who made the arrangement for my controller boxes to be sent. I got them within 3 days.

I would suggest that you either stay up or wake up early and give them a call.

TBH I can't fault how they handled my problem.

Pics would be great. My car is alaska Grey so I'm thinking smoke red. I want to keep the factory look of the t2 tail lights. Haven't seen a picture of the smoke red at all yet.

Just taken these at 23:24 27th so there is one in normal daylight to see how dark they are, there are two that look the same only I got one with the rear fog on, that's on the tailgate light, the other shows the indicator light which is on the wing light.

Great. Looks nice. Maybe I'll try the smoke ones since these r too dark for my taste but the design is nice.
