Friend only use quality new 2032 batteries from a quality shop not cheap Chinese ones which have sat on the wall in the market for 5 years.

Do not buy cheap batteries from the local market unless you have a battery tester ..... even then cheap Chinese ones do not last.

Buy genuine qaulity brand like Philips where it shows manufacture date. Evedn buy from Ebay from a western country like Germany

So I would say not fobs as new energizer 2032 batteries in both.....and I can open and lock doors with fobs and that is all....so no keyless entry or push button start to work... and black buttons on doors not working

My keyless entry and my push button start quit working yesterday on my 2005 Touareg.
I can still lock and unlock the doors with my key fob but the black buttons on my doors do not work.
Also when push the start button nothing happens and only shows on screen " NO KEY FOUND "

I have a 2008 and have had a similar problem. Solved it by disconnecting the earth from the front battery. You can get to this by removing the small plastic cover in front of the left front seat. Remove the nut and lift the terminal off for about 20 seconds. Reconnect and all starts with mine. Good luck.

If your find that your front battery drains if your car is not used for a few days then its kessy! I had the same problem and found the battery would not survive if the car was parked for 3 days. I then removed the kessy module and repaired it and now everything is working well again!

My battery holds charge as I have had it parked for almost 2 weeks while went on vacation and it started first time ......

I’m going to go with your drivers side door antenna is shot. Or it’s connection to the convenience system has an issue. Driver side door antenna is the one that unlocks door with push button and starts the car with push button. You’re gonna have to get a VCSD connected to it to verify all of that though. I could also be the 150th person to tell you to check the battery but I’m not gonna go that route.

As you have seen from earlier in your thread it was already covered that batteries in the fobs might need replacing. Yes it was done.

A second person comes in and says the same thing !!! Did they read and want to understand and know the thread ? Did they realise they just double or triple spammed (maybe not ... but close) the thread with repetitive already covered info ??

e ... VCDS ... its not cheap ((( but you NEED !! to get a scan. dva ... blin na mechanic net ?

Basically you now have a computer ( a Touareg) with wheels and things need to be known ....... what is going on ??? All modern cars are all computers linked to sensors and mechanical parts ... scanning needs to be done
