There is one shop in Damansara sell aftermarket NAV system between 5-6k

Am looking from ebay (similiar or better) system, wanna bulk buy? I know a shop that can install it for less than 400

yes, i tried OEM NAV before, within a week, i request to change 3 systems again and again... the quality, FM, screen, etc..all have big problem..so, still thinking should i go ahead with OEM again?

in Kota d'sara, dataran sunway got a shop sell the oem nav too, flyaudio, it cost me 5.5k ...worth it? i don't know.. still consider...

May consider kenwood or any other branded ... let's see how lah..

if you have any better suggestion, please post, at least got choices to select other..

Hi sabuilt, strongly agree with you to start off one... but.. hmm... need more local supporting members to make it an active one....
If just start of with touareg owners .my might be tought but it tag along under VW.my then it might works... VW.my is gaining popularity nowadyas especially with the new GTI 1.4...

I send my touareg to kelana jaya, one of the workshop near puteri/putera condo there.

by th way, i heard people say VW spare part is much more cheaper in Singapore, any one got any idea where to get part from sinagapore?

Ok, just got the engine oil and filter changed at workshop nearby; the damages

1. Hi-Rev fully synthetic 7 litre RM 311.00
2. Oil filter (Original) RM 110.00
3. Labour RM 20.00

Total RM 441.00

Wow you got your car service very cheap. I service mine in VW service center next to Ingress BMW. The bill was RM771 plus. I was quite surprise as i tot it would hit 1k. since there is a cheaper one next time i shall contact you.

Nothing special as we know what to change. Authorized service centers are just like private hospitals, charge very very high and sometime, we, as owner of the car is not allowed to see what are they doing to the car in the workshop.

As for major service, please read the service handbook, it describes what to change and check in detail

I think filter is quite easy to be obtain, we can even use other brands, H&K or HKS shall be very good choice. Actually the major cost contributed by the oil. Full synthetic cost from RM 40.00 to RM 90.00 per litre. We need 7 litre for V6 engine.

Why not just buy ourself the oil and filter and pay the workshop labour to change it for you?

Changing of the tank nut or may be just the aluminum washer is subject to the condition of the part. Just ensure the mechanic does not over tighten the nut, it should be able to last for sometime.

Honestly, after reading many of the posts by others in this forum, i salute those forumers, most of the up-keeping are "DIY"

Good day all,

Any buddies here fix the rear reverse camera so far? Any recommendation? Wanted to put up one coz get use to it TQVM in advance!

Was wondering if my touch screen system can use a camera, but i heard from my mechanic that i can fix it for only 100 plus... not sure if it is good tot. still not too use to the reverse sensors compare to my old 5. (cant really compare lah)

I am sure that ur touch screen system can use reverse camera. The price range for a camera from 85 to 300 per installation. I saw one unit installed in nearby audioshop today. It need 2 hrs for just a camera installation.. Lots os workmanship involved... But it looks fantastic wth the color camera!!
