Hi all! Cant say enough great things about this forum. Part of the fun of a major purchase for me is researching it in depth and you just cant beat all the information on here. With open eyes and after waiting about 8 months, i finally pulled the trigger and ordered a 2013 TDI in mid september. I just received my vin number from the dealership with an expected delivery in early November. Trying to track the progress from here on out but havent had a lot of luck. Tried using this website Schedules Selection but it doesnt appear to have a search by vin number option. Anybody else have any luck? Im sure im not alone in agonizing over the wait...

I contacted about 15 dealerships in the kentucky, indiana, tennesee and ohio region and told them exactly what i wanted and let them fight over my business. Pretty painless process. I ordered a 2013 TDI exec white/ saddle brown interior with factory tow package and 7 pin adapter. Looks like the options are exactly the same as what you get when you build out a model on the vw site.

I was browsing around on the forum and found this website to track by vin # once it makes it on a ship- https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/ocean.do?method=displayOceanQuickSearchResult
Just type your vin# for cargo id.
Mine hasn't hit port yet but i'll let you know when it shows up!
