After my drive shaft center bearing went in my 05 v8, about three weeks ago, I did some searching and found I wasn't alone in this matter. I since changed my shaft twice, one rebuild that didn't work out and one brand new one from fcp euro. With the rebuilt I had a vibration from 40+ turned out to be a bad cv joint on the rear of the shaft. New one is far superior, but I still have a slight vibration at 70-75, I read a post from awhile ago that a member had the same problem and his solution was "shimming" and aligning the center bearing in the bracket so there was less stress on the flex disc. My question is how many people out there that changed their shaft had to do this to get rid of that slight vibration?? I made sure it wasn't touching the body but......

Two things Sammy.... Are you sure it's the driveshaft vibrating? And two, if you let vw install the shaft they have a special tool to lineup the center bearing for a perfect fitment. I had a local vw tech install it for 100usd, best money spent on the treg
