This is my first time owning a car like this, so bear with me. I do not know much about it yet and after having it for almost 2 years, I haven’t had any problems with it at all.
yesterday it was cold here, -20. We had left it idling while setting up for ice fishing. We noticed a burnt plastic smell, checked and there was the red battery light and it said alternator won’t charge battery.
are we safe to say the alternator is shot? Or is it wiring?
wanna check for advice before buying a $1000 alternator. Unless anyone has experience with partsgeek? Is it safe to buy an alternator from there?
