Has anyone fitted a snorkel to a V6 TDI. If so, can you tell me if it effected the air intake (Engine cutting out due to to little or to much air.)
Also did it effect the fuel consumption etc.

Unlike Land Rovers and Toyotas for example, VW offroaders haven't been around long enough and in sufficient numbers for the aftermarket folk to produce snorkels, suspension lifts, skid plates and the like in addition to manufacturing other components that are still available from the factory itself, albeit at higher prices.

Personally, I don't think anyone ever will - the relatively low VW production numbers and the even lower number of folk who want to modify their Tregs won't support the aftermarket in the same way.

Please excuse my ignorance, but the link talks about a roof spoiler.
Is a "roof spoiler" a "snorkel" ?
No, the roof spoiler is just an extra piece of equipment the offer. Roof spoiler is for looking cool and creating downforce on the rear end at high speeds. A snorkel attaches to your air intake and protrudes outside of the engine compartment to the highest part of the vehicle so you can go through deep water without it being sucked into the engine.

I read your post asking about the difference between a snorkel and a roof spoiler and would have responded with a similar explanation if Olblue hadn't got there first so don't get snotty with him.

If you knew the difference what was the purpose of your post?

Ok, I can handle some owners doing bling, lowering the ride and pimping up the Treg. But, I have great difficulty picturing my Treg with a nasal pipe exiting over the roof. I'd love to do the mod, but the looks will be none-too-nice and every Jap 4x4 owner I pass will snigger. I'll get my Treg filty and even bogged, but not take it in that much water to near drown it. Toyota's 4x4's do that well and handle like sh1t in the road. Skid plate......yes, I'm in that.
