Hi need some advice , I drive a 2007 Toureg which I really love but today the airbag warning light came on in the left hand dash I've checked the fuse , number 26 left hand fuse box but the fuse is OK please could anyone tell me how to sort the problem

This is probably the very well known fault of the wiring to the big yellow connector under the driver or passenger seat getting stretched and slightly disconnecting.

You will need to extend the wiring and you will also need VCDS to clear the fault light.

Whilst the light is lit the airbags may not work.

Along these lines, the wires to my front airbag sensor were ripped out of the sensor when I ran into a small tree at low speed in the snow. How can I make sure the sensor is not going to trigger the airbag when I reconnect wiring and put under power? Does the sensor go short to trigger?
