I honestly did not think this day would ever come, but alas I'm parting ways with my touareg. It's been 2 incredible years of ownership, 40k miles of pleasured filled driving, and hours/days/weeks of modifying and attending car shows. It has been a distinct privilege to have this forum to go to for help and I will not soon forgot all those that have helped me or made their opinions or thoughts known to me.

I have a full collection of orange parts to sell as well as a (mostly complete) set of engine turned aluminum interior trim. Pictures and details on these things to follow, pm for additional info.

Again, thank you to all, it's been a great ride!

Cheers,
Chris

As of right now I've got a touareg, a q7, and two cayennes, the plan is to keep the two cayennes but I'll still be around for sure

Thanks. I think it's one of the best cars on the road right now, really do, hugely capable but still has great performance. The fun thing now will be to see if I can make the '08 turbo faster than the '09 turbo s :)

I happened in to Wellesley VW this morning and saw your truck there on the lot. It is pretty slick, especially liked the orange seat belts! I think the boys in service there will miss you...

Good luck with your Peppers, I'm sure Herb Chambers will be very happy to meet your needs!

Have you ever checked out the Porsche specialty shop on Rt 135 in Natick opposite Roche Bros market? They do a lot of track vehicles, and performance is certainly their thing.

I will still take my stuff into Wellesley vw when I need something. Herb chambers has proven to have pretty poor service so far, took about 3 weeks to get my car/plates/registration/everything sorted after they received payment in full.

Other than the uglier pepper interior, everything else makes perfect sense to me. You have my blessing.
Thank you. You've always been quite helpful to me during my short stay here at CT, so thank you very much for that. Regarding the interior, you begin to realize just how great the touareg is when the 140k+ turbo s falls short. That being said the seats in the '09 turbo s (gts style) may be some of the best seats in any car, ever, and the full leather dashboard, alcantara headliner, and carbon fiber trim really give that high end feel the touareg sometimes lacks. The touareg still has it beat overall though and I suspect the interior of an R50 would even broaden that gap further.

Had I been living in Europe I would have probably looked into it but my one experience with oemplus left me fairly content with my plastic dashboard.
