For a long time I have a defective wiper controller fault, but my wipers are working fine… I replaced the wiper motor assembly years ago, it might be related somehow…

And just so I don’t start another thread… I have a defective trailer controller too, but if I connect a trailer, it’s lights are working fine (if not LEDs)…

Look up @Flerky 's recent posts as he mentioned the one site that has a decent firmware database. You may be able to get confirmation of what's available for your modules and if it's newer than what you have.

According to my resources, there's been quite a few supercedes of that module. Looks like you can get the latest and greatest off fleabay for around a hundo or so... that's probably cheaper than what the dealer would charge you to update the firmware on yours (and you don't even know if that's the issue with it for sure)
