I am looking to do my first upgrade to my treg, and I want it to be exhaust. I have a 900 mile trip home and want to upgrade before I start it. I really want to leave the first two cats so what do I need from there back? I want a sexy sounding exhaust not an obnoxious exhaust. But still loud.

Is this so your home owners association can bitch at you and complain also about the noise of your car, or just your neighbors?

Just suggesting you think about everyone's well being on noise pollution before you spend your hard earned money... Your idea of "sounds cool" may not be everyone else's around you's cup of tea.

We live near one of those fun mountain roads. Hundreds of negligibly muffled motorcycles per day on summer weekends jockeying to see who can be first to crash. We get up early and take the Touareg someplace (any place) they can't go. Except for the bikes it's pretty quiet around here - I'd hate to be the loud neighbor. Maybe you could get one of those flappy-box Cayenne GTS exhausts? Do those work on T-regs? Maybe you live in the country and it doesn't matter. :)

I'd go with the Techtonic Tuning kit with the borla muffler it's a cat back system sounds beautiful nice purr not crazy loud but sounds clean and strong when open throttle. As for noise, do what makes you happy. Forget what your neighbors think !

Remember, what goes around, comes around, and paybacks are a b*tch. I am far better at making neighbors around my area miserable when they make my life miserable... I am retired, I have the time and I have the resources to do so. I'm also on the board of the Home Owners Association. ;) Compliance is a good thing for everybody.

To the OP, good luck, I'm sure you'll make the right choice for your situation.

Yeah I guess I should be like everyone else in this country that I support and defend everyday and do what makes every e else happy... You two that are talking about neighbors being mad must deal with real immature people. Do I want something to wake up the neighbor hood? No. Do I want something to give a few hp gains and sound good when on the road? Yes. I want it loud enough to sound like a good solid v8 with some power. Did I say " hey guys what exhaust can i get that will really piss off the neighbors and wife and kid?" No. I'm not a ****ing moron. I know I have like 9 posts here but i still simply asked a question. If u don't like my question and what I want to do, don't answer the question.

Sorry I came off that way. Didn't mean to. :) The reason I wouldn't want to bother my neighbors is because they're all cool. We help each other shovel snow, clear gutters, work on cars, watch the kids - that kind of stuff. Pretty good small town feel - no HOA.

Second I wouldn't live in a ****ty snobby neighborhood where some association tells me how to spend my retirement. I would spend it out somewhere where I can spend my money and do what I want, and if you think you could ever make my life miserable your pretty funny, and mistaken.
Irish4life83 - do yourself a favor and use the "ignore user" for Niner. He has nothing useful to contribute due to his "misery loves company" view of the world.

Oh, and as a Veteran, it actually means something when I say to you, "Thank you for your service." I know the sacrifices you make in personal freedom first hand and understand what it means to "serve."

Who cares what a liberal HOA board might say. And unless your blipping the throttle and revving it high your neighbors shouldn't notice your exhaust system really that much.

Let freedom ring! Let the sweet sounds of your amazing motor be heard!
