Seven months ago i bought a 2003 Touareg 3.2 V6, which i really love! The price of gasoline in Greece (and the rest of the Europe i would say), is very expensive (~1,7euros/lt), so i was initially thinking for a diesel. I ended up to buy the gasoline 3.2 V6 because of the big difference in the purchase cost (more than double for a 3.0 diesel that were not available at that time).
Next step was to lower the running costs of the 3.2 V6 by making an LPG conversion (Liquefied petroleum gas, also refered as GPL). This was recently completed in a BRC dealer in Athens (Greece). BRC is (probably) the larger Italian LPG company with great experience of many years and hi end LPG technology: BRC Gas Equipment
Price for 1lt LPG is ~0,93euros here in Greece, that is 45% cheaper compared to gasoline. A 5-10% increase of the consumption is expected, so i will end up with about 40% economy. Not bad!
