I'm trying to figure out which sensor this is (front or rear), and what the part number is for that. What is meant by "Bank 2"?

Don't bother, my engine light for the same issue has been going on and off for years, approximately 4 times in 2 years. If you leave it alone for a day or two it will go away. If I recall correctly it is the sensor in the engine bay rear right hand side.
Cheers

The MIL has been on for months. I'm sick of looking at it, and having people ask about it. I've cleared it and it comes back right away.

I'll check the sensor at the back of the engine. Do you know what the "bank 2" means?

I believe the part number is 059-907-807 H I found one for $200 US 4 years ago, but now only see them for + $400.

You will see where the sensor goes into the exhaust at the back of the engine bay and the cable runs over to the drivers side wheel well, There you will see a square device that has a cable plugged into it. That's it.

I will take a picture of mine and post.

Thanks guys for the info and photo. I will take a look at the sensor and the control module for loose connections, etc. I can't imagine the control module would fail - more likely the sensor itself. The part number given includes both the sensor and controller. Does anyone have the P/N for the sensor only?

I have read some success stories from folks who have cleaned the sensor by soaking it in ether. When my MIL went on for the same problem, I was unable to see success with that method. Chlorinated brake cleaner is apparently a second option, but I did not attempt it. I bought a replacement for $300 on ebay and the MIL went out on its own shortly after replacement.

Bank 2 is the sensor under the hood.
