So, since I didnt get any substantial offers on my brand new 22" OZ Canyons I had a feeler for....they sat in my garage until that day I got a deal on tires. Well, today was that day. I found a local aftermarket shop (Vivid Racing) selling a brand new set of 285/35/22s that was on the owner's new Cayenne. He decided he didnt want the wheels so he sold me the tires for 300 BUCKS!!!!! He said the tires had about 200 miles on them.... So here are the pics. Yes, the car looks stock and is dirty but im tinting all the windows and lights out maybe this weekend. Also, I have a line on a set of H & R springs for about 125 bucks (new). We will see where it all goes in a few......thanks for looking!

Parting and selling the E46 and starting on the E30. E30 will roughly be 600HP...:evil_laugh:I know it looks way rough right now but dont you fret...I have customer account with quite a few big names......and now people who can do it good....lol.

Thanks...I have found great deals on everything for this thing lately. Its good t o know people. I don't know if u saw the other thread I made but hopefully I should have a tune for her through APR shortly. Plus springs tint and a roof rack. Should look good. My wife loves it. It sucks having 4....soon to be 3 projects at once. Lol. The mini is a full spec race car and the e30 will be taking up all my time but hopefully next year I will be a proud owner of a BMW X6M that's just if I have enough money once the 15k turbo build is done...lol

Good luck on the E30 project! If you need any advice or help, let me know! I have been around those, and owned mine, for close to 20 years! Mine is modded out from A-Z with virtually everything and anything you can think of literally, including a custom stroked M20, 3.0L forged pistons, forged crankshaft..turbocharged with air-water intercooler, 3 piece iForged racing mags..absolutely the works . The sad thing is, that for the first time in 20 years, and thanks(or no thanks ) to the wife's haggling, I'm already considering parting it out. I still need to make a final decision on that. I WILL NEVER SELL IT whole, because I will never be able to bare anyone else driving off with it, as dumb as that may sound to some.

I do wish you had washed the Touareg though before you snapped those shots. It looks good, but those mags do add to the "stockiness" on the rest of the vehicle. Perhaps it's the dust that gives off that effect to me..The 35 aspect ratio on the 22" always made me feel uncomfortable, but as I said before, if you have nice smooth roads, and never plan to offroad it, more power to you!

Although I don't have it on mine, his stainless, tubular 6 into 1 turbo manifolds are a very nice product. They used to be quite expensive, but I now think that you can get them for under a grand. Unless you plan to race, and even then, I've never believed in larger radiators for a WELL MAINTAINED M20 in general, and those who do, I've always insisted that they had an underlying cooling system problem to begin with. What I did on mine for that "over engineered" peace of mind, was to install a lower temperature coolant thermostat from BMW's parts bin in the Arab countries, and also a lower temp switch for the auxillary fan. Those can now be ordered from various online sources as you may already know, and even some crafty(very rare) dealer parts guys. Instead of the coolant needle in the cockpit reaching the standard 1/4-1/3 mark, it stays slightly below that with the lower thermostats and aux. switches. However, caution in case you will drive it in the winter, as cabin heat will be significantly reduced if you see sub zero temperatures!
As for the intake manifold, many debates on that one, so it's your call. I had mine "Extrude Honed" back in the day. In retrospect, not sure I would ever do it again, as it was too expensive for the gains in hp. I think anyways :-k My G-Tech(the original one back then) did register something like 10 hp gain if I remember well enough. But certainly not worth the $500USD, and this was back when the CDN dollar was at 64 cents. Ouch.

Ok, back to your Egg with the 22" mags now :mrgreen:

Well here is the next little phase of the Dubs plan....and I just today I had the windows tinted 5% all around. Yes, I know about the front windows....[-X They hooked me up for $189 included a full service hand wash......whatcha think? The springs arent on yet in these pics. Need to find some time to do it. And the last pic is just something from work....:razz:

hey we have the same color. lol. planning to get 22s also. cant wait to see the h&r springs on. i got offered on cobra springs..not sure f its a good brand, curious to know how it looks like on touareg, the ride quality..maybe i'll get h&r from ebay if i hear a good review from you soon hehe

I have never heard of Cobra. I would stay away from a no-name brand coil. I will post pics.

Love the Canyons, I'm torn between them and the HR2s.

Everybody I know has had better luck with spray tinting tails over the vinyl ****, but to each their own.

Have you gotten the springs on yet? I'm running H&R springs I scored for $100 on here a while back, I love em, brings it down just a bit and keeps a nice ride.
